I’m not sure whether I will be participating in the A to Z blogging challenge on this blog or not. However, I’ll start the challenge and see how it goes. For the first letter, I’m going to write about Aspartame.
Over the past year, I’ve done a lot of research into food and what makes it healthy and what doesn’t. Actually putting what I’ve learned into practice is an entirely different topic, but I wrote about my caffeine addiction recently, and that was what was hardest for me. Long before I found out about Underground Wellness and have really had my perspective changed on food, I had a problem with severe memory loss.
You can read about my aspartame story, which I wrote about on another web site. The thing that I have discovered recently is that artificial sweeteners don’t even help you lose weight! They also provoke an insulin response. So all the time that I was drinking Diet Coke, thinking that it was okay, I wasn’t doing myself any favors, plus I was killing my memory.
A lot of people that are drinking diet soda really don’t want to hear about it though. All I can do is tell others about how I had bad side effects with it, and if they don’t want to listen, I guess there’s not much more I can do.
